A Quick Trip to the Big Apple

As you may or may not know, in addition to my role as owner and Health Coach at True and Lasting Wellness, I also still work a 9-5 job for a nonprofit organization that raises money and awareness for a particular rare disease. This is where the majority of my travel currently comes from.

Driving Into the City w/ Coworkers

We have an annual fundraising dinner that takes place in NYC every year, in the same location, the New York Athletic Club, right on Central Park. This dinner has been happening for over 30 years, but like everything else, was on hold during the pandemic. While we did meet at a different location last year on a much smaller scale, this year we were back in our old digs, and enjoyed reuniting with everyone while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for a very important cause.

Dinner at the New York Athletic Club

As a child, I grew up only about 30 miles outside of NYC and visiting it often, so it holds a special place in my heart and memory and I enjoy every chance I get to go back - even if it's for a work event. The energy. The activity. All of which was nonexistent just 2 short years ago, seems to be back in full swing and it just makes me happy to see!

There's really not much more to say about this particular trip because I was in and out so quickly, but I hope you enjoy the pictures of the dinner and the views of NYC and Central Park!
